Every year, Edmunds gives out a Used Car Best Bet Award to a vehicle in each segment. The awards are based on the following standards: reliability, safety, value and availability. The transmission and optional V-6 engine upgrade of the redesign also increased the performance of the Altima, making it more fun to drive.
